Understanding yourself changes how you lead

Leadership can be deeply rewarding, but it can also test us in unexpected ways. Difficult relationships, competing pressures, moments of self-doubt or the feeling that we've lost sight of what really matters.

My coaching offers a space to step back, explore what's really going on and find new ways forward. I'll listen carefully, but I'll also challenge your assumptions, offer fresh perspectives and share ideas and practical advice where they may be helpful.

Together, we'll explore not only the challenges you're facing, but also the beliefs and patterns that may be holding you back, helping you develop the clarity, confidence and freedom to lead in a way that's true to you.

About Karen

Experience, insight and a belief in your capacity to grow

I began my career in the high-pressure trading rooms of the City of London before moving into leadership development, designing and delivering programmes for financial institutions and major corporations around the world.

My fascination with how people learn, grow and adapt under pressure led me to complete a PhD exploring the psychological barriers to learning and what enables leaders to respond effectively to change.

I subsequently moved into academia, establishing the Centre for Responsible Management at the University of Winchester Business School, teaching on the MBA programme and founding and leading the Doctorate of Business Administration programme.

My interest in the human side of leadership also led me to write Leading with Love, exploring how compassion, self-awareness and a commitment to the wellbeing of others can transform the way we lead.

Alongside my corporate and academic experience, I hold a Master's degree in Organisational Psychology and a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching. I have also been accredited as a Senior Practitioner by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

Today, my coaching brings these different strands together. I combine practical experience of organisational life, academic expertise and psychological insight to help leaders understand themselves more deeply, navigate complex challenges and develop the confidence and freedom to lead authentically.

Experienced Coaching. Accessible to All.

Having worked with executives at the highest levels, I believe that high-quality, psychologically informed coaching should not be reserved for those with corporate budgets.

For those funding their own coaching, I offer flexible contributions that take account of individual financial circumstances.

I'm also committed to making coaching accessible to people who might otherwise be unable to afford it, so I offer a limited number of reduced-fee places for those experiencing financial constraints.

If you're interested in working together, I offer an initial conversation to explore what you're hoping to achieve and whether my approach is right for you.

Sometimes a Conversation Changes Everything

Whether you're facing a difficult situation, questioning your direction or simply wanting to grow as a leader, a fresh perspective can make all the difference.

Let's explore what's on your mind and whether working together could help.
